There are some logging programs for PDAs.    W1GHZ has one designed for microwave contests --> http://www.w1ghz.org/palm/palm.htm

A quick Google search using "pda radio logging" turned up several other promising leads.  I don't know of any "serious" HF contest logging programs on PDAs though.
