That's correct which means that the N1MM logger was developed with 
outdated files. They work with the N1MM logger, but other applications 
may fail, like Eric indicated.

That's not very good advice. If you have newer files on your system, 
then it is obvious that something else besides the N1MM logger installed 
those and those products expect those newer versions to be there.

Nah, you can't really say that. Problems often seem small when you're 
not the one who has to clean up the mess.

I'm not trying to bash the N1MM logger. In fact I use it for all my 
contest logging for the contests it supports. It's unfortunate it's not 
open source though as I'd like to improve support for the FT-897, but 
that's his choice.
