1973 or thereabouts - Chip operating at W7RM near the end of the SS Phone
swings the beam south and is the loudest signal on the band in southern
California. I remember this about 13 years later when I milk 40 meter phone
during the CQP.

1982 - Visited Rush at Foul WX Bluff (and W6RR too) during a trip up to the
Northwest to see if this was a place I wanted to move to. What a fantastic
QTH.

1990 - Visited Rush's new QTH in La Center, WAS during the WRTC-1990 event.
Rush had lots of enthusiam towards the new station.

1991 CQ WW SSB - Was able to use the famous W7RM callsing on phone - it was
just fun saying it... You mean I can point north, east and south all at once?

1992 - Rush came over when Trey, N5KO had come up for the All Asian contest
which is when my first big tower went up. Rush just HAD to climb the tower
when I needed a coax pigtail installed. I think he wanted to make sure I
was doing it right. Trey coined the phrase: "You can't argue with Rush".

1993 SS CW - I get to operate with the callsign of my childhood dreams in
the SS. Get a funny look from Rush when he walks into the shack and I am
sitting there with my feet up on the table doing nothing (the logging
program was calling "dualing" CQs (alternating on one band and then the
next). He is relieved when someone finally answered me.

1997 - W1AW/7 at Rush's for the IARU. Operators included Operators: W7RM
W7BX K4VX W7YAQ K7QQ K9JF W7WA N6TR N0AX KI6FE K7SS AA7KF K7JA W2VJN W7HUY
WJ7R N7TO KJ7OY KC7WLR K7NT. For me - this THE multi-multi from Rush's I
will never forget.

2000 - Had dinner with Rush so he could tell me how to rebuild a prop-pitch
rotator.

Last year, when Rush's QTH was for sale, the 4 square made it to my QTH.
It will always be my memorial to W7RM.

RIP Rush.
