Now I recall that back in the late '50's & '60's I heard a lot of the U.K. 
chaps starting their phonetic callsigns with "GEORGE".  Yeah, that's better 
than "Golf".  I don't think I've heard it used once in the past 2 years 
I've been back on the air.
