I am even more impressed at the quality of some of the QRP signals. Several were over S-9 and one in Colorado was even 20 over 9. Those QRP guys have been doing a lot of antenna work and have really maximized their signals.

oooops: someone tell me how to get my tongue unstuck from my cheek......

I have been pleasantly surprised, over the last 10 years or so, to see such rapid improvement in the average quality of QRP ops. A decade ago, a lot of them seemed to be using their left feet, or a bent piece of coat hanger for a key - now many/most are smooth, adequately fast and non-repetitive. A class ops are, as a group, more of a problem now...

More often than not (especially with the long SS exchange) QSB or QRM is going to take you out, and I'm going to need fills. And even more-more often than not, I won't be able to hear the fills, so I give up on you.
