It is true, but I don't think it takes anything away from the skills and 
talents required to do well in it.  It still takes still to run the pileup 
or skill and/or big antennas to get through the pileups, etc.  So you don't 
have to copy the zone... big deal, you already knew the zone.

While K3EST would have to answer as to why it is scored like that, my guess 
would be the scenario that K1TTT described is part of it.  I've only been 
contesting a couple of years but on several occassions I've heard stations 
giving out serial numbers when the exchange was the zone.
