Yep, me too, I had one of those and got a divorce about 8 years ago, 
too.  Found a YL friend that likes to sit and watch and listen to me 
send CW.  She thinks ham radio is cool. She will ask me if I have a 
"competition" this weekend.  When I say, "well, there was one I was 
thinking about spending a little time with", and she says, "Oh, go ahead 
and get into it, I've got some things I want to work on".   There are a 
few out there.  After 26 years with one that was always resentful of 
anything I did with the radio, this is nice.  Good luck.
