Please, don't go too far with the abbreviations!
It's obvious that an exchange from CT3 will always be 33 regardless what you
actually send, is it really 33 or VV or whatever. I'm affraid, some people
might only think of the CT3 as of poor operator who cannot send code
correctly... Moreover, a computer wills fill up the zone field
authomatically, and it always be 33 for CT3 or so.
But...
What if W3ABCD sends you ENNVA? What does it mean? Will you try to convience
him that this is CQWW and he has to send the zone i/o "Virginia"? And what
if this guy simply does not want to sign /KH6 and tries to shorten his 599
31? And even ConUS stations, how would you distinguish zones 3 and 4 from
those W or V?
PLease, please, please... Go to 40-50 WPM or so, do whatever, but please
don't try to cut anything but 0, 9 and probably 1.
