The EU Sprint Gang is proud to announce the Winners of the
2006 Eu Sprint Plaques.
This is the sixth year that this award is issued and it goes
to the three operators with the highest combined scores, having
entered at least three of the four European Sprint contests in 2006.
2006 Winners are:
#1 - Filipe Lopes, CT1ILT - 782 Points
#2 - Bernhard Buettner, DL6RAI - 723 Points
#3 - Igor Korolkov, UA4FER - 518 Points
Congratulations!
There are also certificates for the winners of each Sprint and the
leading score from each country. Prizes will be sent out by the
end of March 2006.
This year the first place goes to Filipe, CT1ILT, who won 2 of
the 4 Sprint of the year, ending 3rd and 4th in other two events.
The only serious competitor for Filipe was Ben, DL6RAI, who
did, in the four contests, only 59 QSOs less than CT1ILT.
For the winner, the key-event was the Fall SSB Sprint where
CT1ILT did his masterpiece beating everyone else by over 50 Qs.
Third place goes to Igor, UA4FER, who ended very far from the
best two scores just because in the Spring SSB event he did only
a marginal participation with just 30 QSOs.
The fourth place goes to Dave, G4BUO, that could have easily got
a much better score but, unfortunately, he was only able to operate
in 3 of the 4 Sprints. Everyone else is quite far from the top scores.
The top Low Power score belongs to Franta, DJ0ZY, who operated
as DD5M, ending #8. Other stations achieved a best score but they
did not operated LP in all 4 events.
Rules, full results, past scores and all time records can be seen
at: <http://www.eusprint.com>. Please tell all your friends to
get ready for the European Sprint contests in 2007!
Happy New Year from the Eu Sprint Gang!
