Hello,

I just received a email froma friend who was reading the yes pitiful self spotting reports, spending the time to look and report these stations seems just as pathetic or ridiculous as the self spotting it self in my view.
in any case heres part the email I sent to my friend after for the first time hearing of this taddle tailing :
      "Hey Chris--
You are getting hammered on CQ-CONTEST for self-spotting.

  HI ----,

I guess so, Yikes, This has never been brought to my attention before.
I do have a local ham friend that has put spots for me before he doesnt live that far away.

But any case only strange thing is the IP number thats listed does not seem to be mine at all, also A few those contest I operated portable with my laptop from a totaly diffrent location and connection then my home computer.

In any case I didnt know we had guys with nothing better to do then go sniffing for soemone putting self spots!

Apparently theres a watch dog for everything these days.

I am not sure of all the restrictions there is on self or a friend spotting,
but with guys nit picking and nothing better to do then snif and find some thing to gripe about its no wonder why this country is becoming more and more Socialistic one then democratic one! but, I guess this should come as no surprise.

None the less thanks for the info and will try to fix it.
  73 Chris

PS: I notice alot of stations ask the statsions they work to spot them over and over I guess that really ought to be considered self spotting as well,
So apparentaly not your self , not a friend, or even some one you work should spot you!? In that case why allow spotting at all!!?? maybe that would make the the socialistic , "nothing better to do doers", P&Mers happy?!
