[CQ-Contest] Live Audio - K5ZD for CQ WW CW

Let's consider facts, not speculation, for a moment, shall we?
Randy has made NO EFFORT to hide his use of streaming. He's advertised it
here every time he's done it.
This reflector is watched by the contest advisory committee members.
We have an employee of the sponsor of the coming contest being as sarcastic
about it as anyone. (And not just any employee, but the contesting columnist
himself!)
NOBODY has been DQ'd for streaming.
The link between streaming and solicitation is tenuous, at best. Connections
are often unreliable, you can't HEAR what his frequency readout says, you
don't know which band he's on. In the unlikely event streaming gets someone
to turn on their radio when they otherwise wouldn't -- THAT'S A GOOD THING!
We want people to use amateur radio, no? And since the guy who just turned
on his radio has no idea where to tune, he's likely going to work a bunch of
other folks before he finds Randy, and that's assuming he ever does!
K1TTT does live webcams during contests. Could you use those to find K1TTT?
Absolutely not! No offence Dave, but the picture quality is such that even
if the cameras were pointed in the right direction (they're not), you'd
never be able to read the frequency display.
It seems to me Randy does this because he thinks it's neat. Will it help his
score? I most seriously doubt it.
Time to let this one go.

non-amateur means).

with the "solicitation" rule, while this obvious solicitation by streaming
is "OK"?

without crutches. But little pistols and "point givers" will sure check and
work streamers, while the rest of us will be CQing with no takers, they are
all watching "stars".
