The weekend of April 14 and 15 will bring the annual Georgia QSO Party.
Georgia has more counties than any other state except Texas. 159
counties. Most, if not all, will be QRV in this year's event. There
will be many mobiles, portables, and fixed stations QRV on CW and SSB.
There is a certificate available for working all Georgia counties, and
all GA contacts count for that award. The GQP homepage contains all
information, including rules, awards, scores from prior years, rover
plans, county list, etc. This year, for the first time, there are
special prizes for the top five out-of-state stations in working the
most Georgia counties regardless of mode. Georgia agricultural products
from Lane Packing Co, Fort Valley, GA will be sent to the winners. See
the webpage for details.

During this year's GQP, the SECC Bill Fisher memorial club station,
W4AN, will be QRV as a M/M station from the NQ4I contest station. Rick
will have 9 stations operating simultaneously, one on 10 meters, and two
each on 80, 40, 20, and 15 meters. QSLs for the club station go to K4BAI.

There is a long list of mobile opertors committed to this weekend from
within and without the state and any others will be welcome. See the
webpage for routes and counties already promised to be active.

There are QRP awards also and QRPers are encouraged to participate.
There are also certificates for state, province, and DX country
winners. A long list of plaques has been sponsored. See the webpage
for details.

The Georgia QSO Party is sponsored jointly by the South East Contest
Club and the Southeastern DX Club.

73,

John, K4BAI.
