[CQ-Contest] Cycle 24 begins today, maybe

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.

At the risk of turning the page to a new topic -- and revealing the depth of
my delusional solar cycle 23 cabin fever -- I gleefully note that today the
first suspected Cycle 24 sunspot has been "spotted" on the solar disc at 27
degrees N. lat.

Just in time for the holidays. It's precisely what one or two of us have
been asking Santa for.

And if it turns out to be a wayward Cycle 23 spot, bah humbug.

SFI=94 and rising, by the way, so start dusting cobwebs off those
long-forgotten "Pse QSY to 15M" macros. I'm dredging mine out of the
junkbox, just in case the high bands begin to show some life in OK DX RTTY
this weekend.
