[CQ-Contest] Game theory of spotting?

See Dave's # 10 below.  This was the horrible problem we had at J7OJ  over 
the past two years in ARRL DX CW.  We were incorrectly spotted as J70J  and even 
J70OJ.  The net result of these prolific incorrect spots in 2007  was over 
500 dupes in our contest log when all the dust settled.  The time  it took for 
us to work 500 dupes definitely took away from our ability to work  legitimate 
callers.  It might have even cost us a win!
 
I say, nix the spots altogether.
