[CQ-Contest] radios for SO2R

Hi all, 

Apologies if this has been discussed b4. I'm seriously considering putting
together a portable so2r station for stuff like NAQP and solo dxpeditions,
etc. 

I have one IC 7000 and so I'd probably pair it with a second one. I know
that K6VVA uses -and is quite happy with- his pair of TS 480s. But I'd like
to get some thoughts/comments from those who may have done it using the 7K. 

All replies welcomed... direct ones will probably be appreciated by all ;)
