I tried to save bandwidth on the reflector by just giving the needed info on
the subject, but it appears that some people need the full story, and think
that things are going on behind the scenes. Well, they are not, it is
totally up front, and ...

Hey Paul,
I don't thing that anyone was casting stones or needed to know any more than what you so nicely posted to the list. In fact, it is commendable that you took the time to ask and post the answer that you got.

The point was that it would be nice if there was a way that the sponsors could simply post such information (officially) for all of posterity. I'd bet that this thread will resurface some time in the future. It would be nice to have a place for newcomers to go to get the scoop...directly from the sponsor, with their authority (and provide a sense of organizational memory as adjudicators within a sponsor's organization change over time).

Kind regards,
Ev, W2EV

PS...you really lit a fire for me. I'm checking out the whole remote control thing myself, wondering how interesting it may be to put a station in CQ Zone 2. Now, to see what the rules for remote operation are in Canada! :) In all practicality, I'll probably look for a hilltop in FN24 or FN34 to make a few folks day on VHF. :))
