OK . . you've had the Dayton break and then the WPX break. Now it's time to get serious about NCCC's great Thursday night Sprint -- the NS Ladder competition.

This Thursday it's Wk 11 of 18 See www.ncccsprint.com for schedule, rules, standings.

So. . .Friday 0230-0300Z (Thursday night US) on 20, 40, 80 (40 khz up) and 160 (1815). Sprint exchange, NAQP mult rules, and dupes allowed after 1 Q on same band, immediately if changing bands. Report scores to the 3830 web form at www.hornucopia.com.

And remember, Mike W9RE runs the SNS, slow NS, a 15-minute practice at 0200Z on 40 and 20 prior to each NS Ladder.

Finally, in the NS, remember again to spread out in frequency to make the event more fun, albeit not more relaxing.

Week 10: In spite of the Dayton diversion we had good activity and several newcomers for the 2007 NS LAdder including W0ETT and NG7Z. K7SS had the West of Ms. River high score in Wk 10 for the first time. In the East of Ms. Div, Tor, N4OGW had a stunning 1798 points, topped only by N6RO, as usual way out in front with 1860 pts in the NCCC Div. And W9WI bravely operated /8m from Dayton, the only station to do so. Perfect attendance in all 10 NS sessions now belongs to just two participants, Bob W0BH and Scot KA3DRR.

New award . . as announced a few weeks ago, if there are 10 stations who have not previously competed in NS Ladder, we'll group you into a Newcomer's division with a wine award to station with the top score from Wk 10 onward to the end at Wk 18. If you're in this category, encourage your friends to join us.

A reminder: New NS Participant KC4HW, Jim, is the proud sponsor of the rejuvinated Alabama QSO party on the June 2 weekend; see earlier CQ-Contest message and http://www.AlabamaQSOParty.org [also great photos of N4OGW antennas, leaking over from Ms on this web site]
