Right or wrong, the Patriot Act has given our bureaucrats enormous power - especially over aliens attempting to enter this country, even temporarily......
  Obviously your friend has gotten on the wrong side of some analyst at the embassy...
  The state department here will not over rule the U.S. embassy in the originating country...  
  Your friend is simply not going to be allowed in the USA for this weekend...
