Hi All --

In less than 24 hours the 2007 running of the Texas QSO Party kicks off and
it promises to be a good one. The total county count is now above the 230
mark (of 254) and we've got twenty known mobiles ready to roll and quite a
number of fixed stations.

It's looking like the hottest part of the state will be the handle of the
pan with several stations doing the cooking, including an OKie and a Kansan.
If you're a county hunter and need some Texas Panhandle counties this
weekend is your chance with counties being served up like hot cakes --
single, short stack, tri-stack, tall stack -- you can work 'em
one-at-a-time, two-at-a-time, ..., four-at-a-time.

And it won't be just breakfast that's cooking with the Driving Burrito
Brothers serving up multi-band/mode burritos out of their multi-three Tahoe
station driven all the way to the Mexican border and back to Austin by
little sister K5DU.

Other mobiles include a well-known QRP op motoring from El Paso back home
near Houston running 20 times his normal power. And then there's the beaver
from northeast Texas well-know for giving out counties all over the US.
Google Map the routes of all the mobiles and the rules at www.txqp.net.

Two sessions:
Session 1: 1400Z September 29 - 0200Z September 30 (0900CDT-2100CDT 9/29/07)
Session 2: 1400Z September 30 - 2000Z September 30 (0900CDT-1500CDT 9/30/07)

Take in both sessions and enjoy the whole enchilada,

Chuck/NO5W
2007 TQP Coordinator
