[CQ-Contest] "Kilo" or "Kilowatt"

I wish I had a dollar for every time my "Kilo Whiskey Three Alpha" came back 
to me from Europe as "Lima Whiskey Three Alpha"?

I always blame it on poor conditions or my weak signal, but perhaps it's 
just my dispronouncification.
