[CQ-Contest] log checking

Bravo to Tree for his clear and utterly defensible description of how
automated log-checking *must* work. I've been a contester for over 50
years, but for most of those I didn't have the antennas to compete near the
top in any category. I always hated to see my score appear in the listings
exactly as I'd sent it in, because I knew my log hadn't been checked. No
checking, no opportunity to learn from my mistakes and get better.

The notion that the previous manual log checking was infallible is truly
laughable. I cast my vote for an automated process checking all logs, one
which is under constant review to correct the inevitable glitches. My only
wish would be for new processes to be tested "off-line" a little more
thoroughly, instead of relying on the outcome of a major contest to catch
the bugs.
