[CQ-Contest] Quad Antennas performance for Contestin

Has anyone used the undercoating spray you can buy at Advanced auto? It could be sprayed over the bamboo to protect it from the sun. The undercoating  product
can be painted to make it last even longer. It won't add strength but it would keep the sun and water out of the bamboo. Something to think about.
It won't add much weight thats for sure. Thats the process Im going to use and Im going to use some homebrew spider bracket designs that antenna mart 
use to make and sell on my 6El Quad.
