Good morning!
 
 The EXACT same thing is happening in the computer gaming industry.  It used to be games where player1 vs. player 2, that evolved into massive online gaming with many users simultaneously.
 
 Until the Bots came.
 
 Now, the jokes are that the Bots are battling other bots, and there are no humans even in the game any longer.
 
 The other interesting parallel was that human players could detect mannerisms in the Bots, and certain functions could affect their behavior consistently.  I bet the same would be true with the Skimmers or auto-CQ robots.  If you sent a specific command like "QRL?" just above their frequency, they were programmed to move up or down, and you could literally chase them off the dial.
