I have a large hunting rifle in the Serengeti, Africa.

While I prefer to go there and hunt with other hunters,
it is not always possible.

It is is waste of a fantastic resource for a hunting rifle
to sit idle when it could be used as intended.

I am making preparations to automate the rifle over the
internet so that it can be used for remote operation by
casual hunters.

I see no reason why hunters, myself, or someone I permit
access to the rifle, should not be allowed to use the
rifle to hunt from any remote location in the world, so
long as the entire operation is performed over a remote
link and absolutely no rifles outside of the site are
used.

Operating the rifle remotely provides no advantage over
going there and firing it on-site.

In fact, as others have mentioned, with latency and
external control problems with certain equipment,
there are slight delays introduced that make remote
hunting harder.

It is my plan to make this setup a showcase remote
operation, and to occasionally allow hunters who would
otherwise have no access to the Serengeti an opportunity
to experience hunting from Africa.

Imagine...shooting big game from the comfort of your
living room.
What fun!

If you want to hunt in Africa - go hunting in Africa.

If you want to operate from the Caribbean, go to
the Caribbean - that what contesters and DXers do.
