I vividly remember late Bill, W4AN QSO from his GA office using remote
station in the mountains!
 
The highest temptation while operating 6Y1V from EU home would be second
local RX on the low bands.
I strongly suspect that D4B great 160 m scores at Equator were achieved with
EU SAT 200 kHz link.
