[CQ-Contest] Contesters supporting LoTW

True, but remember that Grid Square and IOTA and similar information are
submitted by the same person submitting the log. They are not automatically
generated by LotW.

So what's the difference if I input the wrong Grid Square on LotW or if I
have the wrong one printed on my QSL card?

...and you can't automatically assume that it's always wrong. I've
occasionally operated some contests from W3WH's QTH -- not just a different
grid square but a different county. If you don't catch that I used a
different QTH (something that I CAN set when I encrypt my log extract each
month), you might assume that the information in LotW is wrong when compared
to the home QTH -- but not the operating one for that QSO!

They'd just have to let you download a version of the lotwreport.adi
file that is signed with an ARRL private key and verifiable with
an ARRL public key.

*Anyone* could, with minimal software requirements, verify the
integrity of the resulting ADIF file which contains all confirmed
contacts, probably more secure than with paper QSO cards.

One major problem, however, is that all the additional information
contained in the lotwreport-file (CQ/ITU/Gridsquare/IOTA) is *not*
checked or verified in any way. I found that about 5% of all entries
contain a wrong ITU and CQ zone (usually swapped), and a lot of the
IOTA information are bogus.
