Are there really multi-singles QRV in contests today that have >1
signal on the same band at the same time?

That's what this paper implies is going on - not that a multi-single
has multiple operating positions & only one transmitted signal on a
band at any given time.

Boy, if there's anything that could pour petrol on IARU R1's fire is
finding out some of these evil contest stations occupy more than
one of the frequencies they allow us to use...
