Subject: [CQ-Contest] Practices for RTTY Round-Up
As a reminder, there will be three half-hour practices this week for the
ARRL RTTY Round-Up next weekend:
0230-0300Z Friday, 2 January (Thursday night NA)
2200-2230Z Friday, 2 January (especially for EU)
0230-0300Z Saturday, 3 January (Friday night NA)
Standard ARRL RTTY Round-Up rules, no dupes on the same band. Recommended
frequencies +/- 10 kHz of xx.080 kHz up except for 7050.
If anyone's curious about how "Happy New Year" is expressed in Papiamento,
Aruba's local language, check out the three-hour SARTG New Year's RTTY
Contest from 0800-1100 on Thursday, 1 January. This is only four hours
after my plane lands, so no guarantees that I'll make it on the air in time,
but I'll try. 40 should be wide open to EU and NA from P4 but 80 will be
tougher to EU at that time.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on RTTY this week. Happy Holidays!
Ed - W0YK/P49X
