Hi All
Just to remind everyone that the segment 1 800 - 1 810 kHz can also be 
used very effectively in ITU Regions 2 (the Americas) and 3 (Asia 
Pacific) for split working (especially in contests) since it is not 
available to the amateur service in ITU Region 1  (Europe, Africa & 
CIS*). To complete the picture there is also a group of countries in 
Region 1 which does not have access to 1 810 - 1 830 kHz and a group of 
South American countries in Region 2 which does not have access to 1 850 
- 2 000 kHz.

Nowadays the band from 1 850 - 2 000 kHz is available in a number of 
Region 1 countries but often with reduced power e.g. a mean power level 
of 10 dBW.

 From a voluntary band planning stand-point, high power SSB in Region 1 
is usually located in the range 1 840 - 1 850 kHz (except in 
contests!)and CW is almost always in the band 1 810 - 1 840 kHz (except 
in contests!). Local (national or regional) SSB QSOs usually occupy the 
range 1 850 - 2 000 kHz on a shared basis with non amateur stations.

Sorry if this is all widely known info on the list but probably 
worthwhile repeating anyway.
