I believe so as long as the person stays within his or her own license's
operating privileges (e.g. WD9@@@ as an Advanced class licensee cannot use
W9SZ in the Extra parts of the band.)

I don't know any benefit to this other than getting to use a shorter or more
familiar callsign.

FISTS will let any member use the club callsign KN0WCW by request.
