The Winter running of the NA RTTY Sprint is this weekend, 00-04Z, 15 March
(Saturday evening NA time). It's a short, fun contest that increases skill
in quickly finding, tuning and working RTTY QSOs. Teams are a great way to
increase activity and rally club members. Sprint teams have no boundaries,
though, and members can join a team from anywhere. Team registration can be
done up to 00Z on 15 March at http://www.ncjweb.com/rttysprintteamreg.php.
Remember, the rules are now identical with the CW and SSB modes. The "legal
dupe" rule was eliminated from the RTTY mode last summer and several
stations were caught surprised by this in the October RTTY Sprint. As
always, be respectful of frequencies in use such as the NCDXF Beacons on
14100 and often PSK around 70 kHz up.
There will be a NCCC-inspired practice session from 0230-0300Z, Saturday, 14
March (Friday evening NA time).
Hope we have lots of activity!
