One question:

>From the FAQ:

Can the run station and the multiplier station transmit at the same time?

Yes, but only if the multiplier station is calling a new multiplier.
The multiplier station can not be used to solicit QSOs (call CQ) or hold a
frequency.

If we see evidence during the log checking that a multiplier station is
being used to solicit QSOs (for example, by having many contacts on the same
frequency), the log may be reclassified to the multi-multi category.

>From the Rules:

allowed is 1500 watts total output.
(c) Multi-Transmitter (MULTI-MULTI): No limit to transmitters,
but only one transmitted signal (and running station) allowed per
band at any time. Use a separate serial number sequence for each
band. Maximum power allowed is 1500 watts total output

The way I read this is that you can have one run station per band and as
many mult transmitters per band as you like. So you could have 1, 2 or 12
transmitted signals on the same band as long as one was the run station and
transmitters 2-12 were all working new mults at the same time. Yes I know
the odds of having a station with that many transmitters and finding twelve
mults is far fetched.

In the MM category you are not allowed to had two run stations, in the MS
category the rules say:

"If we see evidence during the log checking that a multiplier station is
being used to solicit QSOs (for example, by having many contacts on the same
frequency), the log may be reclassified to the multi-multi category."

If you can only have one run station, how can you reclassify the log to MM
when two run stations are not allowed there either? Would this not be a DQ?

Other than this the FAQ is clear and easy to understand.

Subject: [CQ-Contest] WPX Rules FAQ

At the risk of inciting the cq-contest reflector lawyers in this period of
low sunspots. (smiley thing here), I have created an FAQ page for the WPX
SSB/CW contests. I went through my correspondence over the past year and
tried to cover all of the various questions about the rules that have been
submitted.

http://www.cqwpx.com/rules_faq.htm

Let me know if you have any other questions about the WPX contest rules.

Only 12 days until the CQ WPX SSB contest!
