Besides encouraging kids about radios and electronics, future contesters
should emerge from the school clubs.

Here is the Roundup info from the ARRL Contest Bulletin: "School Club
Roundup--Phone,CW,Digital, from Oct 19, 1300Z to Oct 23,
2400Z. Bands (MHz): 1.8-28, 50+. Exchange: RST, class and S/P/C. Logs
due: 30 days. Rules <http://www.arrl.org/SCR>."

Here is my plug: The DuBose Middle School Amateur Radio Club, K4DMS,
Summerville, SC, will again be participating in the School Club roundup.
K4DMS will be operating Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, mostly on
20m from 15:45Z to 17:15Z and from 20:15Z to 22:30Z, SSB and PSK31.
K4DMS, and any other school, will appreciate a QSO. The exchange is RST,
category (i.e., individual, club,or school), and your S/P/C.
