Am I missing something here? Stations from a different continent are worth 3
points and US stations 2.
So wouldn't that make it your loss to?

I'm not sure where I stand on this self spotting issue. You could be right
that the number of spots would be overwhelming that nobody benefits from it.
It could level the playing field.
