Sorry this is a bit late, but have been doing some major rebuilding
on the house since just after wpx ssb weekend so have been a bit
busy. This will be shorter than usual, the raw data is available
at http://www.k1ttt.net/logs/2010wpxssb_spots.zip for those who are
really interested.

I wish I had more time to document all the junk from that contest
a bit better... there were LOTS of obvious cases of self spotting
and cheerleading. Why after all this time and discussion did it
suddenly get much worse in wpx ssb? Is the word not getting out to
the repeat abusers, or is there not enough interest on the part of
the contest sponsors to make it important, or are there lots of
new contesters who think this is the way to pump up their score?

Ones to look at in dxsummit data:
rx1cq&ua1cei - shows a pattern where he spots ua1cei and then makes a
mistake and spots himself, but then also gets spotted from a different ip by
ua1cei and other non-russian calls from a russian ip address.

by8dx - has a cheering section from a chinese ip that includes pa5cw, rz5gg,
rz5gf, swl, and more.

ua0it - his russian ip spotting group includes users like w4ghk, k7jjs,
ja3beu, w6swl, k9gsr and more.

>From regular cluster data:
b4tb has an unusually large percentage of spots from node bd5rv that include
lots of world wide calls with identical comments.

Other interesting ones to look at in dxsummit data:
9m2idj - direct self spots

t77go - italian ip cheering section includes k1ied

rx6am - big russian cheering section

hz1dg - self spots and others from same ip

yy4cvi - spots from other yv stations intermixed with one from him from same
ip

on8dm - spots from same ip as LOTS of swlswl complaints about bandplans

fr/f4egz - spots for and by him intermixed from same ip

jy5cc - i never knew there were so many jy's spotting on the net, but he
also gets spotted by hz1ej from the same ip and g1tdn, f1sdf, g4wfz and
others.

ju1dx - has a mongolian cheering section that includes sp4rvw, oz1edy,
w4pfe, ja3aqt and others.

yr8a - his cheering section includes ks6s and va7aq from the same ip as the
yo's

ex8ab - self spots and swl-@ spots for him

uw3e - spots for and by him from the same ip

ux7u - spots for and by him from the same ip

other notables to look at: pd6w, yu7zex, ct7/lz3nd, ct2iov, gw9t, ei9hx,
ii5p, m2w

interesting attempt... iz9huj got spotted by several different italian
stations, most of which put in bad frequencies so the spots don't show in
the database... an obvious pattern, but botched badly.

scroll through dxsummit.xls if you are interested and look at the yellow and
red highlighted areas. yellow are ones that may be interesting, red are
ones that show a pattern of abuse for one or more reasons.
