*PORTUGAL DAY CONTEST HF 2010*

*Rules*

REP – Rede dos Emissores Portugueses, sponsors ‘PORTUGAL DAY CONTEST’ each
year on the second Saturday of June, being part of IARU Contest Calendar.
All radio amateurs of the world are welcome to participate!


*Date: *12th  June 2010
*Time:* 00:00 to 23:59 horas UTC
*Bands:* Only 10, 15, 20, 40 and 80 meter bands, fully respecting licensing
rules of his own country. Observance of established band plans is strongly
encouraged.
*Mode:* SSB or CW or Mixed
*Exchange:* DX Stations send RST followed by one sequential number beggining

Portuguese stations (obviously including Autonomous Regions of Azores and
Madeira Islands) send RST followed by letters identifying their respective
Distrito  ( concelho if Azores and Madeira Islands) – see annexed list.
*Category:* Single Operator All Band
*Contact Points*
Each contact between DX and Portuguese stations are worth 10 points.
Each contact between Portuguese and DX stations are worth 1 point.
Each contact between DX stations in the same Continent and country, are
worth 1 point.
Each contact between DX stations in different Continents are worth 2 points.
Each contact between Portuguese stations are worth 5 points.
*Multipliers
*Each Distrito (Portugal) and each Concelho (Azores and Madeira Islands) and
each DXCC country.
*Multiplier points*
Each Contact with Portuguese Distrito (or Concelho if Azores and Madeira
Islands) are worth 5 points.
Each contact with one different DXCC country are worth 1 point.
Each multiplier is counted only once by Band regardless of the Mode.
*Final Score *
Total contact points from all Bands multiplied by the total Multiplier
points.
*Trophies*
Placque for the best World Score , with a minimum of 500 valid QSOs.
Placque for the best Portuguese station with a minimum of 500 valid QSOS
Certificate for the best score in each DXCC country, if the total submitted
score is higher or equal to 20% of the World best Score.
Certificate of Participation for all stations with 200 or more valid QSOs.
Prizes are not cummulative.
*Logs *
Logs should be organized following Cabrillo file format:
Callsign, Date, UTC, Mode, RST/** sent and received , Band, Points,
Multipliers.
Each paper log entry should be accompanied by a Summary sheet listing all
scoring information, duplicates, entrant’s name and mailing address.
*Deadline*
All entries must be mailed or postmarked no later than 1st September 2010
