The fall State QSO Party Season kicks off this Saturday, August 28, with
the Ohio QSO Party.
Over the next eight weeks there will be well established events featuring
OH, TN, WA, TX, CA, PA, NY, and IL, as well as ones in smaller states
including HI, KS, CO, AR, CT, SC, and AZ.
The Ohio QSO Party runs from 1600z Saturday to 0400z Sunday. (Noon to
midnight EDT). 80 through 10 meters, SSB and CW. Multipliers count per mode,
for a total possible of 176 for out of state stations.
Mobile and portable activity make these contests, and this year we have a
great list of planned efforts. There are 13 mobile/rover operations posted
on our web site, many featuring top notch contest ops. And we have fixed
station activity listed for over 70 of Ohio's 88 counties. All 88 Ohio
counties have planned operations.
The OhQP awards beautiful plaques to top scoring out of state stations in
QRP, Low Power, High Power, Mountain/Pacific time zone, and DX (outside
W/VE). Of course there are also lots of plaques for the Ohio people as well.
Full contest info is available at _www.ohqp.org_ (http://www.ohqp.org) .
We hope to see (and work!) you all on Saturday!
