This gets to one of my big beefs with the cqww cw announcement also.
The 'Reverse Beacon Network' is like a trademark for a specific service, it
is NOT a generic description of a way to collect multiple skimmers into a
single spotting system. There are several ways to do that, including the
VE7CC node and others that have been set up for specific groups.
The other big problem is PRIVATE vs PUBLIC, there is no accepted description
of that which can be used to define what can or can't be used. From the way
I read the SP rule any multi op within 100km of my PUBLIC skimmer can use it
(NOTE: this weekend it has the callsign N2KW). But of course you have to
use the internet to connect to it.
