I disagree with that statement, unless you are talking about a Major 
Contest or DX contest.  The smaller contests like State QSO parties a 
station like that could easily place well.  matter of fact My station 
when I took first place SO in the Wisconsin QSO party was less than 
describe there barefoot rig and dipoles up 40 feet.  Paper logs only no 
computer no spotting  all paper logs and dupe sheets.
