Google Voice is now open to everyone.  You do not need an invite any more.

You can find some interesting phone numbers by searching using their
interface.  In just a few minutes, I found:


57-GET-DX-FUN
(314) CONTEST
(312) KONTEST
(646) DX-RADIO
(347) SO2R-FUN
(774) NE-DXER-0  (MA Number)
(916) 5-RADIO-9

860- 54- NU1AW -- hey -- a CT number for the IARU HQ station :-)

Though many not in your area code, it does not matter for ham pals; they
usually dx anyway!

You can forward a Google Voice number to any of your regular phones.  It has
voice mail and voice-mail-to-email translation.
