To get a "real feel" for what will happen at your location, you need
to do a HFTA analysis.  Terrain plays a HUGE part in what your antenna
can and can't do and I've found the models to be pretty accurate.

So get a copy of HFTA and model your location.  I think you need to
buy the ARRL antenna book to get it but you should have a copy if
you're seriously doing any antenna work.
