Hi Gang,
After WPX this weekend, I've come to the conclusion that being I can't fix all my antenna issues (too small a lot), I have to play with my antenna tuner

As contesters, I figure you guys are probably the people who would know if this would work...

I'm looking at the Palstar AT-auto, but there is an issue - it wants to hook directly to the MKV field, but there goes hooking the rig to the Microkeyer OR the Computer.

The manual for the AT-auto says you CAN use a Y cable BUT

"Note! Some radios do NOT provide data headers in their serial data strings which causes
erratic frequency following whenever non-frequency serial data is sent by the HF transceiver.
The Yaesu FT-990 and FT-1000 are known to cause erratic frequency following by the ATAUTO
when using a “Y” serial data cable. Users report success with the FT-2000 and
Kenwood radios.
"

Now, of course WE Know there is a huge difference between the FT-1000 and a FT-1000MkV (field or not)

Has anyone on the list gotten this combo to work?
