[CQ-Contest] Use of CW decoders in contests - a contrarian opinion

Perhaps.  Has anyone ever tried slowing down RTTY to about quarter  speed 
in order to try to learn to copy it in one's head? 
 
(Not that I would recommend that out of interest for one's sanity   :>)
