I think it means

    A single operator who uses other communications
    modes and/or communications technologies to find,
    facilitate or confirm contest QSOs.

Additionally, for CW, it means

    A single operator who uses a multi-channel
    CW decoder to find or facilitate contest QSOs.


I prefer the term "Single Operator Hybrid"
to "Single Operator Assisted" because, IMHO,
it more accurately describes the nature of
the entry class.
