With all due respect Jeff, I'd check on the activity stats of the
Pennsylvania QSO Party before making a statement like that.

And on that note, I know people are used to certain contests always falling
on certain weekends, but an honest evaluation of change can sometimes be
beneficial.  At one time, Pa QSO was in September; when the ARRL "aligned"
the VHF contests, causing a conflict, they moved to the current weekend in
October, and one of the unintended consequences was a significant jump in
activity.  While many don't care for change, sometimes change is good!

Steve,

The Florida and Georgia QSO parties are probably #2 and #3 behind the CQP as
far as activity. This year's GQP had 462 entries and all 159 GA counties
were activated. That's quite an accomplishment due to the hard work of Mike,
NE4S. The FQP also has a long tradition so I don't think it would be a good
idea to combine the two.
