But suppose that I enter as Low Power.  During the contest, I decide to operate High Power.

I'd have to change it, or just forget about it and not enter, and maybe not enter many others.

local friend tells me where to find a new multiplier.  Don't I then have to 
change to assisted?  Or just not send in a log then, because it didn't fit 
with the category I chose earlier.

I think will be very good if you declare the category you will choose for a
contest, BEFORE the contest start.
