[CQ-Contest] USB-to-DB9 Interface

I know this is a rather old topic, but I'm wrestling with it today.

Looks like some of the Group found satisfaction with the Edgeport/4
USP-to-DB9 (RE2320 to connect for FSK.  They don't seem to have any more.  I
have a CableMAX I/O Adapter: USB to 4 DB9s.  No joy getting it to play
nicely with my RIGblaster pro, N1MM, and Yaesu FT1000.  I understand that
some of this devices just aren't easily compatible.

Anyone in this august group have any guidance?  Serial/com card in the
computer chassis to provide add'l ports, different USB-to-DB9 hook-up.
