[CQ-Contest] WRTC

Hello all,

I have had many many many reactions on this post. But none of them on this
reflector. I guess many people have their opinion, but feel reluctant to
say it in public.

First of all, I meant PI4CC instead of PI4CG in my first post. I have been
an guest operator at PI4CC with the CQ WW CW.

I have received many justifications about the way the points work for the
WRTC.

Fact of the matter is, that I am to receive more than twice points for my
efforts at PI4CC than I am to receive for my efforts (as PI4CG) at the CQ
WW SSB. And that is a bit strange when you know that my efforts at PI4CC
were not even a one hundredth of my efforts as PI4CG in the CQ WW SSB.

Think about it, you got to get the points of all the QSO’s made by maybe as
many as 20 operators. Even if you only have made the coffee.

And if you are to be second of the world in a single band entry, you might
get as little as 16 !!!!! points!!!

I do understand it is a hobby, and that is really is what it is to me. Is
about having fun in your own way. And I have really no intentions what so
ever towards the WRTC. That is far beyond my reach and there are far better
operators then me in PA. Let alone in the world.

But I think it is an missed opportunity knowing the winner of the WRTC will
never know how good he/she really is.
