The following was written by K8UT, a colleague on the N1MM team who is not a member of CQ-Contest. If you haven't seen them, he has done a flock of videos on using N1MM Logger effectively, which are available on the N1MM Logger web site. This one may be particularly useful in preparing for this weekend.

<Quote> In reading some Field Day questions last week, it occurred to the N1MM Dev
Team that many of you reflector readers fight uphill battles trying to
convince your Field Day colleagues to operate N1MM Logger (or any other
software, for that matter) at Field Day. It's more than an installation and
configuration issue, it's also about operator support and education.

If you're one of those Field Day Site Coordinators with guest operators who
are unfamiliar with logging software in general, and N1MM Logger
specifically, this video is aimed at educating them before they sit down for
their shift at your FD site. Twelve minutes long and 15MB in size, it's
larger than I wanted but delivers a general orientation on Field Day, a
short glossary of contesting terms, and a demonstration of Run and S&P modes
with N1MM Logger. Invite your users to view it before Saturday. Or - better
yet - download a copy to the laptops you take with you this weekend. Don't
forget to copy/paste the Hot Keys listing and Function Key definitions onto
a one-page "Cheat Sheet" for them at each operating location.

Comments on this video, and suggestions for future videos are always
welcome,
