Radio Arcala, a Finnish-based initiative for developing leading-egde
Amateur Radio technology and concepts, has taken another advance
initiative for the contest community to review. It is about viability,
fairness, and openness that aims for a better contesting future, while
meeting the current rules with all the potential high-tech available
today.

Radio Arcala invites all contesters to try this interesting approach
by offering the visibility of real-time scoring, audio, and video from
the actual contest site. This is with the limit of not showing the
transmit frequency. Here the race gets closer to spectator
participation, bringing families and friends back home right into the
cockpit.

Here's what you need to know to view the race or to get on board too:

1. Take your browser to http://cqcontest.ru/videoscore.jsp
2. Click the button in the column "TV1" on the interesting station's row.
3. Put on your stereo headphones and listen to the SO2R contest experience!
4. Get on board yourself by using the instructions in the "Help" menu
at the top.

Radio Arcala will release three stations for this open exercise:

The mothership OH8X (Finland) will be operated by Pasi OH6UM, OH0X
(Aland Islands) is operated by Toni OH2UA, and CR2X (Azores) by Kim
OH6KZP. This is Kim's first outing for contesting outside of the
Finnish borders. All stations will be SOAB.
